Although this whole area does not offer much high altitude skiing its still very snow secure. It's also one of the most authentic beautiful Alpine areas in Austria with a range of typical Austrian villages such as Flachau, Wagrain, St Johann im Pongau and nearby Bad Gastein (30km), a luxurious thermal village with a lot of natural springs that should have a healing effect.
