Hotel facts

During peak season, the mandatory minimum stay is at least 7 nights and during the holidays it's 10 nights

Aman Le Mélézin is one of the most refined ski-in, ski-out hotels in Courchevel 1850. Positioned directly on the Bellecôte piste, it offers immediate access to the Three Valleys while maintaining the serenity and purity that define every Aman property. Despite its location in one of Europe’s busiest winter destinations, the hotel feels calm, composed and architecturally harmonious.

The Interior

  • The interiors reflect Aman’s signature aesthetic: clean lines, oak and natural stone, soft neutral tones, carefully balanced proportions and a sense of tranquillity that carries through the entire building. Lighting is discreet and warm. Public spaces have a meditative flow, with textures and materials that echo the surrounding forests and snow-covered slopes. It is understated luxury at its purest.

Rooms and Suites

  • The hotel offers a curated selection of spacious rooms and suites set across four floors, many with private balconies facing the piste or the village. Interiors blend Alpine woods with contemporary furniture and luxurious fabrics. Bathrooms are crafted from smooth stone with deep soaking tubs and rainfall showers. Technology is discreetly integrated, and domotics elevate comfort without disrupting the minimalistic style. The views stretch across Courchevel’s rooftops, forests and peaks, depending on the room category.

The Spa and Wellness

  • Aman Le Mélézin’s spa is one of the most comprehensive wellness facilities in Courchevel. Rebuilt in 2017, it spans an entire floor and includes five treatment rooms, including double rooms and a dedicated Thai massage suite. There is a wood-scented sauna, a traditional stone hammam, a scrub room, experience showers and a state-of-the-art fitness studio. The spa also features a serene subterranean pool with softly glowing lighting, whirlpools and relaxation areas. A TRX-equipped yoga studio completes the wellness offering.

Dining - The hotel hosts two restaurants of exceptional quality. Nama, led by master chef Keiji Matoba, follows the Japanese washoku philosophy, offering precise, pure flavours: sushi, sashimi, wagyu and refined hot dishes. The second restaurant focuses on elegant French cuisine in a warm and authentic Alpine setting. Guests staying on half board enjoy an expanded selection, including partner restaurants both inside and outside the hotel. Breakfast is à la carte, served with the measured calm and precision that Aman is known for.

Lounge and Bar

  • The lounge and bar function as a quiet Alpine salon. Polished wood, soft fabrics, curated artworks and large windows create a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a glass of wine, a slow afternoon by the fire or quiet evenings overlooking Courchevel’s glowing village lights.

Ski Facilities

  • With true ski-in, ski-out access directly onto the Bellecôte piste, Aman Le Mélézin offers one of the most seamless skiing experiences in the Alps. The private ski room is elegantly designed with heated boot systems and dedicated service. Ski instructors and guides can be arranged at any moment, and guests glide from the ski room straight onto the snow without crossing a road or queueing.

Concierge and Service

  • As expected from Aman, the service level is exceptional. Valet staff handle everything upon arrival, while the concierge team is known for making the impossible feel effortless, from securing last-minute restaurants to arranging private instructors or heli-transfers across the Three Valleys.

What we love

  • Aman Le Mélézin is one of those rare hotels where the energy of the destination fades the moment the doors close behind you. Courchevel can be bold, glamorous and busy, but inside Le Mélézin, everything becomes quiet. It is the contrast that makes it remarkable. You step off the piste into a space that feels almost sacred in its stillness.

  • The design expresses Aman’s philosophy with absolute clarity. Nothing shouts. Nothing competes. There is no clutter, no noise, no unnecessary decoration. Instead you get natural textures, balanced light, perfect proportions and a rhythm that slows your breathing within minutes. The architecture is not meant to impress; it is meant to calm you. And it succeeds.

  • The rooms capture the essence of Alpine serenity. Floor-to-ceiling wood panelling, soft fabrics, deep beds and stone bathrooms create an atmosphere of complete relaxation. Waking up here feels different: the way the morning light hits the piste, the hush of the snow outside, the silence of the building… it all works together to make the day start slower, softer, more intentionally.

  • The spa is the spiritual heart of the property. The subterranean pool glows with lantern-like light, and the combination of heat, cold, steam and water creates a meditative cycle that is profoundly restorative. Treatments are not rushed. Movements are slow. Even the spaces between the treatment rooms feel intentional. You do not simply visit the spa; you retreat into it.

  • Dining at Nama is a highlight that feels almost surreal in a mountain setting. The purity of Japanese cuisine served with Aman precision against a backdrop of snowy slopes creates a contrast that is unforgettable. The French restaurant offers warmth and Alpine elegance, making it perfect for slower evenings when comfort takes priority.

  • The lounge and bar provide a different kind of intimacy. The fireplace becomes the centre of gravity in late afternoons, and the view over Courchevel’s rooftops adds a sense of depth and calm. Even when the village is at its busiest, here you hear nothing but the crackle of the fire and low conversation.

  • And then there is the skiing itself. Ski-in/ski-out at this level is not merely convenient; it changes the rhythm of your day entirely. No queues, no walking through slush, no logistics. Boots are warm, skis are prepared, and the Bellecôte piste is your doorstep. You slide out in silence and return the same way.

  • Perhaps the most extraordinary aspect of Aman Le Mélézin is how it makes you feel over time. You become quieter, more present, more attuned to the landscape. Days develop a natural cadence: ski, spa, lunch, rest, drift to the fire, return to the snow. It is a hotel that strips away distraction. What remains is purity, warmth and balance.

  • This is not simply a place to stay. It is a sanctuary for people who appreciate beauty without excess, service without fuss and design without noise. Once you know Aman Le Mélézin, the rest of Courchevel feels different.
